Denilson Igwe calls out former partner, Mark Angel over alleged exploitation

Denilson Igwe, the alleged founder of Mark Angel Comedy has accused his former colleague, Mark of earning substantial amounts while paying little amounts to him and child actor, Emmanuella.

Mark Angel’s comedy gained popularity in 2014 and was often performed by three cast members: two men and a minor.

In a recent episode of the “Honest Bunch” podcast, Denilson stated that he was one of the founders of the Mark Angel Comedy skits while working as a cameraman.

He alleged that Mark Angel, who was working as a security guard at the time, asked them to create a Facebook page, which he later monetized without their knowledge.

Denilson also claimed that Mark Angel bought a car in 2014 but lied about it being a gift. He noted that Mark paid Emmanuella 20,000 Naira, while the crew werw unaware of the revenue generated from the Facebook page, which was reportedly $160,000 per month.

Denilson concluded by stating that, as an orphan, he is the only one who can speak out against Mark Angel, having witnessed others who challenged him suffer accidents or even death.

He said in parts

“I was the one that started Mark Angel comedy. Mark was the elder brother of the house, he was a security in Portharcourt while I was doing camera work for a man called Ifeanyi.

“I stole his camera and in our free time, I would do those comedies. Mark created a Facebook page and I did not even know when it was monetized. Suddenly in 2014, he bought a car and he said he got it as a gift.

“I haven’t received a penny then and he’d pay Emmanuella N20K monthly. 2016 was when he gave me N50K, saying this thing no dey bring money and we were making $160,000. If you talk about him, it’s either you die or have accident.”
