Afrobeats superstar Davido has been trending since the release of his Timeless Album, but the main shocker is the fact that the singer’s next album is ready.
Shocking right? Davido made this revelation during an interview where he discussed his new project, which has achieved global success by breaking music charts all over the world.
The singer said he made 62 songs for the album, which was released on March 31, 2023, after the musician had gone on a six-month break from the spotlight.
Davido said it took him months to settle on the final 17 tracks that made the album.
He said:
“I already have the next album done. Yeah, I do! I had to pick out of 62 songs for this ‘Timeless’ album. Then we narrowed it down to 20 songs, then we narrowed it down to 18, 17 songs.”
Shocked by Davido’s disclosure, the interviewer quizzed: “Was the process of narrowing down the songs from 62 to the songs that’ll make the album that difficult?”

Replying to the question, the 30-year-old singer noted that trimming down the songs from 62 to 17 was the hardest part of producing the Timeless project.
Davido said:
“It’s the hardest process ever. Because it’s like today, you’re like, ‘Ah! You want this one’. And then like in two weeks, you don’t feel it no more. You want another one. And then the next two months, you’re like, ‘Yo, why did we take that song off?'”
