In an interview with Beat FM, Davido mentioned losing loved ones, including his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, and said he dedicated a song from his new album ‘Timeless’ to them.

The singer, whose album Timeless was released today, March 31, called the people he had lost “legends.”

Remember that on October 31, 2022, the superstar lost his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, after losing his closest friend and bodyguard.

Legends Can Never Die, according to the singer in the trending social media interview, was written as a result of his admission that even though they are no longer physically with him, he still feels their spiritual presence around him.

“Like with time. Everyone knows I lost my mother when I was ten years old. Losing my best friend and bodyguard in one to two years, then losing a child on top of it all.

“I don’t think the song is truly sad. I just don’t want to feel like they’ve abandoned me spiritually now that I’ve lost them all. I still have them around me in some ways. They were all legends in their own right. “That’s why I say a legend never dies,” he explained.

He went on to say that the music is dedicated to everyone who has lost one or more loved ones.
