Nigerian superstar, David Adeleke better known as Davido has finally reacted to the loss of his three nominations at the 66th Grammy Award.
Glamsquad reported last year that Davido was nominated for three categories last year ahead of the 66th Grammy Awards. He was nominated for ‘Timeless’ – Best Global Music Album, and ‘Feel’ – Best Global Music Performance, ‘Unavailable’ – Best African Music Performance.
No doubt Davido and his fans hoped that he would win at least one out of his three nominations.
Surprisingly, the singer who welcomed a set of twins recently with his wife, Chioma lost all three categories. Tyla from South Africa won the Best African Music Performance, Shakti from India won the Best Global Music Album, and American directors, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia won the Best Global Music Performance.
Reacting to his loss, Davido took to microblogging platform, X to express love for his fans for their unweaving support at all times. He also promised to continue to release quality songs.
He wrote
I love each and everyone of you !! We Dey game !! We will continue to deliver …
I just want you to feel alright …
It is worth noting that Davido’s supporters stormed the official Instagram page of the Grammy Awards to express their displeasure.
