Even during the preliminary round of TV3’s Date Rush, one of the contestants, Lovia, gave the host, Giovani Caleb, a headache with her terrible English.
Despite her poor English, she was expected to get a date. Even though she didn’t speak very well, the confidence she exhibited was admirable.
Lovia feels that she will get a date regardless of her difficulty with proper sentence construction in English.
Meanwhile, many have questioned the show’s veracity, with many claiming that Lovia was acting and couldn’t genuinely explain herself well in the Queen’s language.
Her sloppy English did not come off as natural.
On the other hand, Lovia’s poor English has become a source of concern not only for host Giovani Caleb, who had difficulty understanding her, but also for the audience, who felt the show’s quality was deteriorating.
