Dancer Korra Obidi set to star in her first movie in 15 years

Korra Obidi, a dancer, is set to star in her first film, “What If”, alongside veteran actress Patience Ozokwo and movie stars Alexx Ekubo and Bolanle Ninalowo. This will be Obidi’s debut in 15 years.

The dancer, whose excitement was too much to contain, announced the good news on Sunday via Instagram.

Before moving to the US and concentrating on her music and dance, Korra was a child actress, so this will be her first Nollywood debut in 15 years.

The 27-year-old shared a clip from the filming location and wrote: “It is with great honour that I announced my first Nollywood debut in 15 years. I was a child actress but dance and music took me away.

“Yesterday I was on set with icons from Nigeria movie industry. Icons like Patience Ozokwo, Alexx Ekubo, Bolanle Ninalowo and many more. Although I had just two mins in the movie What If, I am so excited to step out if my comfort zone because therein lays greatness. Here’s to more acting..maybe.”

Reacting in the comment section of the post, Alexx Ekubo wrote: “You did well K.”

Glamsquad recalls that the Nigerian dancer had revealed why she couldn’t tell her side of the story in the divorce saga with her American husband, Justin Dean.

She claimed that while she was trying to maintain her strength for her children, she would reveal her side of the story once she had recovered.

On Saturday, the dancer from the US went on Facebook Live to complain that she was being unfairly judged due to her husband’s biassed account of their divorce.

Few days after they welcomed their second daughter together, Dean had announced last month that he was divorcing his wife.

Speaking on the divorce, Korra said, “When I can talk about my story. I will talk about it. When I’m able to tell my story, I’ll share everything with you guys.
