Nigerian dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, has mocked Paul Okoye better known as Rude Boy over the failure of his song to top YouTube views.
In her Instagram story, she confessed to liking his song Vitamin D and, despite thinking it’s mediocre, admitted she expected it to blow up. Now, she believes Nigerians have “woken up” and are choosing quality over mediocrity in music.
Mocking him further, she pointed out that the song’s video has remained stuck at 500,000 views for the past two months. According to her, her God is not asleep, and all enemies will eventually have to back down.
“I personally like this song and even if I know it is a mid I still thought it would blow up. Regardless of all the dirt this young man and his family has thrown in my name over the years. After all who cares about the truth? But now, u see Nigerians have woken up. Integrity over mid of good songs. A Rude boy song still on 500k after 2 months. God no they sleep! All my enemies must fold”.
Earlier this year, Cynthia Morgan launched a scathing attack on Psquare and their brother Jude Okoye, accusing them of being habitual liars and vowing to take a stand against them. Responding to those advising her to move on, she revealed that it wasn’t as easy as it seemed, especially considering she had struggled financially, eating noodles for every meal while the public assumed she was living like a millionaire.
In an Instagram live session, Paul Okoye addressed their strained relationship, clarifying that Morgan was never his artiste but rather his brother Jude’s. He remarked that while they had all gone their separate ways, Morgan continued to dwell on the past. Paul concluded by wishing her a swift recovery.
In response, Cynthia Morgan slammed Paul Okoye for distancing himself from her, questioning why he wished her a “quick recovery” as if she were ill. She expressed frustration over his audacity to speak down on her. Morgan, also known as Madrina, reminded Paul that he still owed her for a feature she did for him and his then-girlfriend while he was still married to his now ex-wife, Anita Okoye.
Back in 2020, Cynthia accused Jude Okoye of taking control of her social media accounts and stripping her of her stage name when she decided to leave his label, a claim Jude denied with evidence. She also alleged that he owed her N7 million and has since continued to call him out, cursing him, wishing him hardship, and labeling him as “evil.”
