An easy-to-wear sensibility balances the experimental. The fresh, contemporary opposite of the more traditional tailoring on Rogers’ June catwalk, his new suits are big and unstructured; they are made from recycled polyester and come in zesty colours of grape and crawfish.
Even though Rogers doesn’t want to be lumped into any particular genre, evening attire is unavoidably his signature look. The tulip gown in floral-printed faille and the black column with pouf sleeves, both of which hint stylishly to mid-century couture designs, are sure to receive some incoming calls as award season picks up.
