Christiano Siriano, the mousey, bespectacled designer of Project runway fame, has done quite well for himself, since his exit from the reality show. He is famous for his whimsical illustrations as well as his red-carpet gowns, with their trade-mark nipped-in-the waist, full-skirt looks. This featured prominently in his fall 2015 Ad campaign starring the very talented Samira Wiley (Poussey)of the hit TV-series, Orange is the new black.
The collection featured rich prints and furs, inspired, as the designer put it, “by plant life and creatures in the jungles of Africa’s Central republic of Congo”. Organzas, dripping with petal appliques and crystals were cut into full-skirt evening dresses, leopard print satins were made into slinky sheath dresses, Tiger-print fur were cut into luxurious coats….this collection nailed the rich bitch look, and is perfect for any girl wanting to turn heads at an event.
