As Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha or Chioma Chukwuka, she is a Nigerian actress and film producer known by various aliases.

For her part in the film “Sins of the flesh,” she won the Africa Movie Academy Award in 2007 for “Best Actress in a Leading Role.” In 2010, she got the Afro Hollywood Award.

She is from Oraifite in the Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, and was born in Lagos. At Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos, she completed her primary education. From there, she attended secondary school at the Federal Government Girls College in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Afterwards, she enrolled at the Lagos State University’s School of Banking and Finance to further her academic interests.

In 2000, Chukwuka made her film debut in “The Apple,” which launched her career as an actress. Additionally, in 2000, she appeared in the film The Handkerchief as a supporting character as well. For her role in the film Sins of the Flesh, she won the African Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Lead Role.”

In 2014, she was nominated for “Best Actress” at the African Movie Academy Awards for her role in the movie “Accident. She’s been in Nollywood for 20 years, appearing in over 350 movies, producing six, and winning numerous honours along the way.

Chioma has worked as a producer or co-producer on eight films, including the critically acclaimed hit On Bended Knees. She is also a mentor and a public speaker.

In January 2019, she developed a platform for building capacity called Masterclass With Chioma (masterclasschioma.com), where young actors, screenwriters, filmmakers, and other industry pros teach them what it takes to succeed in the film, television, and theatre industries.
