Chidimma Adetshina opens up on struggles in her pageantry journey

Nigerian-South African beauty queen, Chidimma Vannessa Onwe Adetshina, has spoken out about the personal struggles she went through during her pageantry journey.

In a recent interview on the Big Friday Show with host reality TV star, Tacha Chidimma opened up about struggling with identity issues stemming from her dual citizenship

When questioned about her decision to dedicate herself to pageantry full-time, Chidimma revealed that her driving ambition is to one day claim the title of Miss Universe. She expressed that this goal has been a major motivation behind her commitment to the pageant world.

“I I think it’s something I started recently; however, I’ve had this dream since 2017 to become the next Miss Universe. I’m really glad I have been given the platform and the opportunity to at least try and reach that goal.”

Chidinma also revealed how she managed the identity crisis.

“It has been a long journey, so hard at times. I would cry myself to sleep, questioning ‘Why me?’. I had to shift my perspective to see potential greatness emerging from these challenges.”

Glamsquad recalls that Chidimma whose mother is South African stepped down from the Miss South Africa contest despite being a Top 11 Finalist.

She withdrew from the competition after the South African Department of Home Affairs accused her mother of potential fraud and identity theft.

A few weeks back, Chidimma  accepted an invitation from the organizers of Miss Universe Nigeria to participate in the 2024 beauty pageant.

She will represent Tara a State.
