Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly constructing a new mansion on the Portuguese Riviera in preparation for retirement

The Manchester United striker paid 6.5 million pounds for the property in 2021, making it the most expensive flat sold in Lisbon.

Ronaldo also spent £7 million on a large plot of land in Quinta da Marinha, and construction on the mansion has begun, according to Portuguese news outlet Correio da Manha.

 

“The land was recently fenced off and purchased by Ronaldo,” a source told TV 7 Dias magazine. “When he finishes his career, he’ll be moving here with his family.”

“Everyone around here knows, and we’re overjoyed.” Ronaldo is simply Ronaldo.”

After his football career, Ronaldo plans to retire to his mansion with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and their children.

 

The 37-year-contract old’s at United expires at the end of the 2023 season, but he has the option to extend it for another year if he so desires.

 

Ronaldo will play in his fifth FIFA World Cup later this year in November, after Portugal qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
