Charly Boy opens up on battle with prostate cancer

Popular Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, a Nigerian singer and activist, has revealed that he survived prostate cancer, glamsquad reports

The activist revealed this in a Saturday Instagram post, saying he has been battling the illness for more than ten days.

Surviving prostate cancer, he believes, is the greatest favour God has bestowed upon him.


He thanked God for sparing his life and thanked his family for their support.

He also expressed gratitude to the Nigerian doctor who performed his surgery.

“Gosh, I have fought one too many battles in my short life,” Charly Boy wrote alongside a video of himself being wheeled out of the theatre. I usually come out on top.

“Love cannot be crippled, hope cannot be shattered, and spirit cannot be conquered by prostate cancer.”

“Abegi, make una help me Thank God for another chance.”
