Renowned car dealer, IKechukwu Ogbonna has been arrested as a result of the death of his wife, Bimbo.
The newest development was disclosed by Benjamin Hundeyi, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, on Monday night.
Contrary to what his family and friends have claimed, IVD has been arrested, according to the police officer.
He also said that the auto dealer from Lagos had been moved to Yaba’s State Criminal Investigation Department.
“Contrary to claims by family and friends that 37-year-old Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD is on the run, he has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba,” he said.
The couple made news last week when Bimbo and her husband got into an altercation at their house in Lekki, Lagos, and she allegedly set herself ablaze in the process.
While her spouse, who apparently fled after suffering just minor injuries, was brought to the hospital.
Bimbo spent a few days in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Lagos before passing away on Saturday morning.
