If you recently opened Instagram, you may have noticed a sudden flood of black-and-white pictures of women taking over the platform.
Several celebrities have also joined in the resurfaced trend which involves the sharing of posted filtered photographs of themselves with the hashtags #challengeaccepted and #womensupportingwomen alongside and inviting friends to do the same as a way to spread messages about female solidarity and empowerment.
While its origins are unclear, the ultimate goal is to just share some positivity during the Coronavirus pandemic. It has however seen participation from the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Waje, Tiwa Savage, Edu Edewor, Rita Dominic, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and many more!
