Caroline Danjuma claps back at critics as she defends her support for Tinubu

Nollywood actress, Caroline Danjuma has delivered a strong caution to the public regarding her newfound support for President Tinubu.

The mother of one and ex-wife of billionaire, Musa Danjuma took to her Instagram to voice her support for President Tinubu and his administration, a move that sparked backlash from fans who reminded her of how she had criticized colleagues for backing him during the elections.

Responding in a lengthy post, Caroline dismissed the notion that celebrities should ignore public criticism, calling it outdated PR. She argued that in today’s world, one must either educate critics or “drag them to hell,” adding that she has made her choice and doesn’t need fake followers or supporters.

Caroline reflected on losing several friends, including Desmond Elliot and Toyin Lawani, due to her efforts to defend others online, only for those same individuals to criticize her on blogs. She emphasized the need to speak up for herself, rejecting the notion of needing fake love or validation.

The entrepreneur revealed that she has deleted her Instagram account four times to prove she isn’t reliant on social media for self-worth.

Caroline asserted her right to pray for, forgive, support, or cut off anyone as she sees fit, adding that she is neither a foot soldier nor an advocate for anyone.

“Yes, they say do not respond, but that is old-school PR. This day, you need to lecture or drag people to hell. I chose what I wanted or whom I wanted. I don’t need fake followers or supporters.

I have lost a lot of friends because I defended you lots, friends that even supported me in my early times of acting, e.g., Desmond Eliott. Because I stood against his words; I literally blocked him. What of Toyin who only showed me kindness and blocked her because of her choice of candidate in short I went on a blocking spree because I felt I needed to support my fans and followers .. truth is a lot of you are always the first to abuse me when lies are written about me on the blogs .. now I have to speak up while I am still alive …

Even when a clown lied, I tried to destroy his home, and I secretly married someone. Some ran to abuse me; when I did the Feed Lagos campaign, a lady stole money 4/5 times here; even if I had supporters, it takes a lot to convince people you need assistance cause they see you as wealthy lol.

I do not need your fake love or likes. I deleted this page 4 times. I really do not need fake followers; those who know me know when I support, I go all out and selflessly. I do not judge anyone; I only support them.

I have a right to pray for anyone, forgive anyone, show kindness support, or cut off. I am not your foot soldier or advocate because even if I die today you will always have something negative to say.

This is my page, I am real and do what I feel is best. I have chosen peace of mind over high blood pressure. This year, I was duped by a woman I saw as a big sister; she has two furniture showrooms, but I chose to connive with her sister to dupe me. A lot happened this year, but I chose to praise God instead of complaining.

I HAVE ADVOCATED AGAINST THE GOVT MORE THAN ENOUGH IN THE PAST. Now my energy is for the real people who need help that are not on Instagram.

I have been running my NGO since 2004 only, but last year, I opened an account and started posting. I do not do things for your accolades, I went through assu strike like you, lost the woman who raised me to bad health care, she was a devoted teacher”.
