SISI PELEBE is a play that centers on the macabre adopted mode of living in present
day society. It shows the depravity we have unwittingly nurtured and cultivated overtime. In
a bid to cure Folasade of her ‘Sisi Pelebeism’, her parents released her to the ever so loving
care of the ‘holy institution’ inadvertently exposing her to mental and physical abuse from
people with different methods of exorcism.
It is a controversial piece. One that mirrors the Nigerian society and how it deals with homosexuality issues.
Written and Directed by Kelvinmary Ndukwe, it features critically acclaimed performers- Patrick Diabuah, Bunmi Sogade, Jennifer Utulu, Martins Chukwu and Deolu Amusan.
