
Former US president Jimmy Carter has died aged 100 years old. He is said to have been taken into hospice care several months ago as he wished to live the rest of his days surrounded by his closest friends and family members.
Jimmy Carter, a staunch democrat , served a single term from 1977 to 1981, losing his reelection bid to Ronald Reagan.
In the immediate past US Elections. Former President Jimmy Carter is recorded to have expressed the wish that he wanted to live long enough to vote for Kamala Harris. Thankfully, his wish was granted and he was able to cast his vote via mail despite the outcome. This shows his level of dedication to the Democratic Party and their choice of leadership until the very end. Carter’s legacy will always be one of loyalty, integrity and concern for humanity.

Carter won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for “undertaking peace negotiations, campaigning for human rights and working for social welfare”
it would seem that Carter was able to make more impact out of the White House than inside of it.
The Carter Center has made the announcement that the 39th president of the United States of America died in Plains, Georgia, surrounded by his family.
Carter was the oldest living former president of the USA when he surpassed the record held by the late George Bush in the month of March 2019
