Oborududu lost 1-4 to Tamyra in the Tokyo Olympic women’s wrestling final on Tuesday afternoon, August 3, but still took home a silver medal.
Prior to the final, she fought Battsetseg Soronzonbold of Mongolia 7-2 to qualify for the women’s 68kg battle.

This comes just hours after her long-jumping colleague Ese Brume won a bronze medal after coming third in the women’s long jump event in the early hours of Tuesday, August 3.

Brume leaped 6.97 metres with her very first jump to claim bronze behind second-placed Brittany Reece of the United States and gold medallist Malaika Mihambo of Germany.
