Abubakar Baballe Hayatu is a Nigerian actor from Kannywood. Abubakar Hayatu (Baballe) was born in the Giginyu neighborhood of Kano and attended Giginyu Elementary School, Kawaji High School and College of Arts and Remedial Studies (CARS). He proceeded to Bayero University in Kano, where he specialised in political science and served in the military in Anambra State. Although Baballe Hayatu began his career as a costume designer, he later became a major star in Kannywood with films such as Abin Sirrine and Aya. It took a while, but recently bounced back with films like Surkulle and Koren Ganye. A versatile actor who plays multiple roles, he is also known for his talent as a dancer.

Abubakar Baballe Hayatu began acting professionally in 1996, with a small role in the film; Abin Sirrine, this paved the way for Baballe, igniting the burning desire to act. He has appeared in over 70 films and has produced over 30 films.
