Shan George was born in Ediba, Abi Local Government Area, Cross River state, on April 21, 1970, to a British father and a Nigerian mother. After completing her secondary education at Edanafa Secondary Commercial School in Ediba, the actress went further to study Mass Communication at the University of Lagos.
She discovered acting while looking for a job to help pay for her school. Shan George made his acting debut in the Nollywood film ‘Thorns of Rose’ in 1997. She had previously appeared in the 1997 soap opera ‘Winds of Destiny.’ She produced her first film, ‘All for Winnie,’ while in her final year in university.
However, Outkast, Itohan, Tim ba t’aiye wa, Computer Girls, Masterstroke, Deadly Desire, More than Gold, Hidden Treasure, Welcome to Nollywood (Documentary), Connected Firm, A Can of Worms, The Wages, The State, In My Country, The Revenge of Labista, No Chance are just a few of the films in which she has appeared.
Her first studio album, ‘Dance,’ was released in 2010. Music critics were enthusiastic about the CD

Shan George married for the first time when she was only 16 years old. She is the mother of two children from two failed marriages.
