Biography of Ruona Agbroko Meyer, First Nigerian Journalist to be nominated for International Emmy Award

Ruona Meyer is a popular Nigerian journalist. She works as investigative journalist and she is widely recognized across the length and breadth of the world.

Bio data and Career

The investigative journalist was born in 1982 in Benin, Nigeria. She studied at Wits University in South Africa. She is a post graduate degree holder.

She also studied journalism in the same institution.

At University of Lagos, she bagged undergraduate degree in Microbiology and at De Montfort University in Leicester, she’s currently undergoing Doctoral degree.

Meyer has worked with top journalists accross the length and breadth of the world. She also boast of mindblowing records as succesful journalist.

Awards

In 2019, Meyer was nominated for the 47th International Emmy Awards. Her documentary work on drug abuse made her to bagged the nomination.

Her nomination comes under the category of Current Affairs and News Award.
