Olayinka Ayefele (known as Tungba-highlife musician) was born in Ondo State, Nigeria on February 1, 1968 to Chief Joshua Taiwo Ayefele of Ipoti Ekiti in the Ijero Ekiti Local Government Area in Ekiti State. He is one of the biggest music producers and gospel singer in Nigeria. Ayefele attended his primary education at Our Savior Anglican Primary School, Ipoti-Ekiti. His education was also in Ekiti State. After graduating from high school, he continued his undergraduate studies at Ondo State College of Arts and Sciences, Ikare Akoko, Ondo State.

CAREER


Ayefele briefly worked as a journalist and broadcaster at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan, where he also produced jingles and musical works for radio. He was recognized in the Nigerian music industry in 1997 after being involved in a horrible accident that nearly cost him his life, he managed to survive the car accident but his spinal cord was totally damaged, being confined to a wheelchair. His debut album, Bitter Experience, released in 1998, made him famous and was quickly followed by the release of his next album, Sweet Experience.

Additional albums released by Ayefele are Divine Intervention,Something Else, Life After Death, released in honor of Gbenga Adeboye, Nigerian radio host, musician and comedian, and lots of more. Today, Yinka is one of the most popular gospel artists in the country. He was one of the hosts of Patience Jonathan’s elaborate dinner, which dated back to August 2013. AWARD

He won award presented to him by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Past President of Nigeria (2011) . The name of the award is Ekiti Cultural Ambassador Award in 2015.
