Fausat Balogun (also known as Madam Saje, (born February 13, 1959) is a Nigerian actress who stars mainly in Yoruba films. She played the role of Mama Saje in a 1990 television series titled Erin Kee Kee. Faust has appeared in over 80 films.


Fausat Balogun started her acting career very early. He started elementary school in the 1990s. He gained experience and training with a Yoruba theater group known as “Ijamodi”, directed by the late Machado, located in the region of Idumota, Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. in the theater company “Balogun”. Her first performance in the field was in a TV series created and broadcast by the Nigerian Television Network Authority (NTA) Channel 10 Production, entitled “Afonja”.


In 1979, Fausat Balogun gained more popularity when she featured in another television series titled “Abeni Ajagun” produced by her husband Rafiu Balogun. The film received positive reviews and was responsible for putting her in the spotlight. She was once again involved in another popular comedy series, “Erin Kee Kee”, which was once again a fan favorite, and soon her fans started calling her for the role she played in the film – Madame Saje.

Her experience grew in the industry, which gave her the impetus to start production, first with a film called “Alaroka”, directed by the late Prince Alade Aromire. She then continued with another film titled “Oro Itan” and later “Ebi Dapo”. Fausat Balogun’s hard work and commitment to the development of the Yoruba film caught the attention of City People Entertainment, who recognized her for her contribution to the growth of the film industry in the awards night. 2016
