BET Awards 2022: See complete list of winners

The BET Awards, which honor Black excellence in music, culture, and sports, held their 2022 edition on Sunday, June 26, and were hosted by Taraji P. Henson.

Lizzo opened the show with a powerful rendition of her latest single, “About Damn Time.”

 

Bruno Mars and Anderson form the R&B duo Silk Sonic.

Paak had the most combined victories with three. “An Evening With Silk Sonic” won best group and album of the year, while Paak was also named video director of the year for his work on their music videos.

Kendrick Lamar was also named best male hip-hop artist and best video for his collaboration with Baby Keem on “Family Ties.” Will Smith was named best actor, and “King Richard” was named best film.

 

Sean “Diddy” Combs was honored with a lifetime achievement award. He was honored by a slew of fellow musicians and former collaborators, including Mary J. Blige and Kanye West.
