Supermodels including Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, and Paloma Elsesser appeared on the main stage of the second annual Vogue World event (the first was held in New York City the previous year); celebrities like Sienna Miller and FKA twigs even made cameo appearances. But there were even more beautiful costumes to admire off the catwalk. As guests arrived at the Vogue World event, the street style scene turned out to be a draw in and of itself.
The streets of London were transformed into a runway as fashionistas effortlessly combined high-end designer pieces with vintage finds and local designers’ creations, creating unique and individualized looks.
Notably, oversized blazers were a prevalent trend seen everywhere, draped over shoulders or cinched with statement belts to create structure and add sophistication to casual outfits. It was also impossible not to notice the resurgence of monochromatic dressing in head-to-toe tones like vibrant reds and soft pastels, emphasizing both confidence and elegance.
Accessory-wise, chunky gold chains layered over turtlenecks or worn as belts became a defining accessory for both men and women alike. Overall, the street style witnessed during “Vogue World: London 2023” reflected an unparalleled level of creativity, fearlessness, and originality that solidifies London’s status as an international fashion capital once again.
