Former Big Brother Naija Nina Chinonso Onyenobi, better known as Nina Ivy has advocated for early childbirth.
On her Snapchat, the reality star confessed she always dreamed of becoming a young mother, particularly in her 20s, and was even open to using a sperm donor if necessary.
Nina Ivy expressed her happiness that fame didn’t prevent her from embracing motherhood. She also shared that she hopes to have a daughter before turning 30.
Advising her fans, she said that if they have the means to care for a child, they should go ahead and have a baby, assuring them they’ll be proud of their decision when the time comes. However, she also acknowledged that everyone’s circumstances are different.
She wrote
“As long as you have the resources to take care of a child, have that baby, honey. You will be so proud of yourself when the time comes.
I have always wanted to be a young mum, especially in my 20s. I didn’t even mind getting a sperm donor if that was the only option, I’m so glad I didn’t let fake get in my way. I love being a mum, and I still want to have a daughter before I turn 30.
Like I said, everyone’s opinion is different”.
In another post, she emphasized that having her kids early was the best decision she made. She acknowledged that while others may have different views, she had already experienced what many faced at 35 before she turned 30.
She also advised her fans, pointing out that conceiving in your 20s not only boosts fertility but also lowers the risk of pregnancy complications.
She wrote
“It’s really not; the best thing I did for myself is having my kids early. Everyone’s reasoning might be different, tho. But what you will go through at the age of 35 I have already gone through all of that process before the age of 30.
Health-wise, Your odds of conceiving are increased in your 20s. Getting pregnant during this time also reduces your chances of having a pregnancy complication.
Also, it’s easier to lose pregnancy weight and regain fitness levels after giving birth at a younger age. So think about it”.
Nina Ivy has two children, a boy named Denzel whom she welcomed in 2020. She has however concealed the identity of the second child she welcomed in 2023.
