Vlisco has launched Fashion Fund 2019 which aims to support upcoming fashion designers to become established professionals.
Since its establishment in 1846, Vlisco has created a niche for itself in the textile industry and continues to pivot the fashion industry beyond unimaginable boundaries.
The Vlisco heritage is quite unlike any other. Apart from creating unique textiles popularly known as Wax Hollandais for over 170 years, the brand has also deliberately invested in the fashion value chain. It continues to provide platforms for creative expression and collaboration to engage, inspire and empower.
In line with its mission to support and empower upcoming tailors and fashion designers, the brand has launched the Vlisco Fashion Fund 2019.
Through the fund and its other initiatives, Vlisco remains committed to pushing the boundaries in the fashion industry.
Applications are now open for the Vliisco Fashion Fund 2019
Designers who apply to the Vlisco Fashion Fund 2019 stand a chance to compete and win support that will develop and strengthen their fashion businesses through a Career Fund totaling the sum of € 5000,- based on an investment plan and a 2 weeks masterclass abroad.
Eligibility:
The application is open to Up and coming fashion enthusiasts with designing and sewing skills who are print-minded. They must reside in Nigeria and be between the ages of 20- 30 years, with not more than 5 years of work experience.
How to Apply:
Interested applicants are encouraged to send their CV, Portfolio (images not less than 3 and not more than 8) and short-long term business plan to [email protected] between August 1st – October 1st, 2019.
Only completed applications received via one e-mail with all attachment not exceeding 25MB will be eligible to get to the next phase of the competition.

By submitting their application, applicants agree to be available for an interview and test at a location in Lagos (to be designated by Vlisco), between the 8th and 18th of October 2019 and are prepared to bear all costs incurred in doing so, if selected for this phase of the contest.
