Anikulapo Season Two Cast Revealed: Who’s In, Who’s Out?

Kunle Afolayan, the filmmaker, recently took to Instagram to officially unveil both the returning and new cast members for Anikulapo’s highly anticipated second season.

In a series of posts on Monday, he confirmed that Netflix has renewed the show, following the success of its first season.

The director also teased the upcoming season, which will delve deeper into Nigerian history and culture, including the transatlantic slave trade.

He captioned the post, “Unveiling the new stars/talents of Anikulapo series… Back and bigger than ever. Netflix confirms new season of Ankulapo!!!!!
We are thrilled to announce that Netflix has officially renewed Anikulapo for another exciting season!”

Returning cast members include actors such as Sola Sobowale, Bimbo Ademoye, Gabriel Afolayan, Owo Ogunde, Aisha Lawal and Eyiyemi Afolayan.

However, the absence of Kunle Remi who played Saro—the pivotal character in season one—has raised some eyebrows.

While Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre began streaming on March 1, 2024. Both were written by Shola Dada, directed and produced by Kunle Afolayan.
