Glamsquad reports that Mystikal, an American rapper, has been arrested in his home state of Louisiana on rape and other charges.

The New Orleans-born rapper (real name Michael Tyler) was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on multiple felony charges on Sunday afternoon, July 31, including first-degree rape, domestic abuse battery, strangulation, and robbery.
In addition, the 51-year-old was charged with two misdemeanors: false imprisonment and criminal damage to property worth less than $1,000. All five offenses allegedly occurred at 9:21 a.m. on Sunday.
According to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office records, Mystikal has yet to post bond and is currently being held in jail awaiting arraignment.

After pleading guilty to sexual battery, he was sentenced to six years in prison in 2004.
In exchange for not turning her in to police for cashing $80,000 in unauthorized checks from his bank account, the rapper and his two bodyguards forced his hairstylist to perform oral sex on them.
Mystikal was released in 2010 and registered as a sex offender in Louisiana, but he was arrested again just two years later on a domestic abuse battery charge against his partner, violating his probation terms.
The Ghetto Fabulous MC was charged with rape and held on a $3 million bond in August 2017 in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a woman at a Shreveport casino. However, due to a lack of evidence, the charges were eventually dropped.
