Balenciaga set the internet abuzz after debuting a trash bag worth £1500 per piece. Although this is not the first time the designer has taken inspiration from the bin, a lot of fans are surprised by the design of the world’s most expensive bag.

The creative director of the fashion house, Demna Gvasalia first debuted the bag at the fashion house’s autumn-winter collection debut back in March which was dedicated to Ukraine’s refugees. The bag is designed with calfskin leather, a leather version of the typical black bin bag. The Balenciaga trash bag has gone up for sale and is worth $1790 and £1500 respectively.
According to the fashion brand’s creative director Demna Gvasalia, the bag is inspired by the humble garbage bag. The Balenciaga trash bag comes in three different colors, blue, black, and white.

The Balenciaga fashion house is famous for stirring up the fashion world with unimaginable pieces. Recall in May the fashion house stirred up similar controversy after it debuted its destroyed sneakers worth around $1850 per pair. The destroyed sneakers were beaten up, muddied, and falling apart.
There are numerous reactions to the fashion house debut of the trash bag. According to a user, the Balenciaga designs are getting out of hand. “whoever buys this needs to be thrown out in it” another user claimed.
