Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo has revealed how he will deal with relationships henceforth following a messy split from his ex-fiancée Fancy Acholonu.
The actor, who seems to be enjoying bachelorhood declared that he has disengaged from future wedding plans.
Taking to his Instagram story, Alex Ekubo while responding to a female fan, who has crush on him, stated that he doesn’t desire to tie the knot soon.
The female fan had shared a photo of the handsome actor as she revealed preparations for their wedding was underworks. The only things stopping them is the scarcity of new naira notes.
She wrote:
“Am planning our wedding babes, make all this scarcity of money go fess so that I will marry you properly”.
Replying, Alex Ekubo stated that he has disengaged from future wedding plans.
“Me wey don log out from anything wey go lead to wedding”.
Glamsquad recalls that Alex Ekubo and American model Fancy Acholonu were engaged after being together for over five years. However, their engagement ended abruptly just weeks before their planned wedding. Fancy, who initiated the break-up, used her official Instagram page to appeal for privacy.
According to Fancy, she broke up with him because they both needed to find happiness and live in their truth.
Her choice of words,
“Live in their truth”, was misquoted by many and rumours started making rounds that Alex Ekubo was gay.
In an unexpected turn of events, almost a year after their separation, Fancy issued an apology to Alex Ekubo and implored him to consider reconciling with her. However, this led to a week of social media drama after Alex failed to respond romantically to her post.
Fancy disclosed that Alex had outwitted her and compelled her to issue a public apology, retracting some of her previous statements. According to insiders, the apology was a ploy by Alex to restore his tarnished reputation resulting from Fancy’s remarks about their breakup.
These sources further alleged that Alex had endorsed the apology before Fancy released it to the public.
