According to paperwork acquired by TMZ, an extra from the upcoming film is suing Mia, director Ti West, and A24. The extra said that things became physical last year while they were filming late at night.
The background actor stated that the sequence required him to don a robe and be smeared in fake blood from head to toe, as well as lie down in the dirt and pretend to be dead for several hours while ‘enduring ants and mosquitoes’.
Mia, who portrays Maxine, was intended to sprint by the actor, step over him, and gaze at him before continuing to run, but after a few takes, the actor claims Mia “nearly stepped” on him.
He claims Mia was cautioned to be careful, but she “intentionally kicked” him in the head with her boot on the next take, inflicting severe pain and neck stiffness. He stated physicians later told him he had a concussion.
The actor stated that no medical support was provided on site. Instead, Mia approached him in the restroom and “taunted, mocked, and belittled” him, challenging them to do anything about what had happened.
He also claimed that the fake blood had stuck to his body, so peeling off the blood-stained robe caused more pain and he experienced headaches on the drive home and “nearly passed out twice” during the trip.
The actor who claimed he was taken off the production following the incident, is now suing for at least $500K in damages for battery and wrongful termination, plus punitive.
