Actor Gary Busey charged with three counts of s*x crimes at Horror Convention

Glamsquad reports that Gary Busey, an American actor, has been charged with sexual offenses allegedly committed last weekend at the annual Monster Mania Convention held at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Busey, 78, was a special guest at the convention held at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

 

Busey was charged on Friday, August 19, with two counts of criminal sexual contact (4th degree), one count of criminal attempt / criminal sexual contact (4th degree), and one count of harassment, according to a press release issued by the Cherry Hill Police Department on Saturday, August 20. (disorderly persons offense).

According to the reports, Busey allegedly groped at least two victims, leading to the charges. “It was about contact,” Cherry Hill Township Police Lt. Robert Scheunemann explained, adding, “and it was about touching.”

 

Busey’s previous run-ins with the law include being arrested on drug charges in 1995 after taking a near-fatal overdose of cocaine at his Malibu home, as well as two arrests on spousal abuse charges.

The actor is best known as a character actor, mostly in supporting roles, but he rose to prominence and was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for his performance in the 1978 film “The Buddy Holly Story.”
