Four groundbreaking Hollywood figures were honored at the event: Meryl Streep, Michael B. Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and Sofia Coppola. Streep received the Icon Award, given to an artist whose career has had a notable influence worldwide. Michael B. Jordan took home the Vantage Award, given to an emerging artist or scholar who is helping to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around film.
