The ‘extra-long’ T-shirts from Fear of God first gained popularity after rapper Big Sean’s stylist came upon them. Since they were well received, Lorenzo was asked to produce more.
A few weeks later, Kanye West called Lorenzo, saying he had seen the identical T-shirts and was curious to know more about the company. When Lorenzo traveled to Atlantic City to meet West, they struck up a friendship that gave Lorenzo the opportunity to pursue more opportunities, like collaborating with West on his project with A.P.C.
The company teamed up with Vans in 2017 to alter their Era 95 shoe with a distinctive all-over design. In 2018, they collaborated with Nike to create the iconic Air Fear of God 1 silhouette.
