A FOREVER TREND: COLOR BLOCK
The modern fashion world as we know it, is emerging with plenty of color code opportunities, with no defined punishable mix and match regulations.
Color blocking, according to Wikipedia is thought of as the exploration of taking colors that are opposites on the color wheel and pairing them together to make interesting and complementary color combinations. In exploring this, there are no ‘not to be worn together’ colors, as every color applied to the outfit is an expressive statement of the term ‘color block’, mixing green, purple and blue is no longer a faux pas, but a bold statement.
While there are no color rules to this trend, there are definitely pattern rules to it, there’s already so much going on in this fashion spree and you do not want to add weird floral pattern designs to the mix, only to end up looking like an ‘animation gon wrong’ and make a complete mess of the whole outfit. That’s why i think it safer to stick to basics and sometimes even tone down the outfit with a neutral, especially if you have used a lot of primary colors in the mix.
However, color blocking is a bold and fun way to dress that enables individual creativity/self expression and it is another trend that has come to stay, regardless of age, weather or season.
