2020 is already here, and while we’ve expressed our love for 2019 and the fabulous styles it came with, they’re also some trends we saw that we tried our best to love but do not want them to be a thing come 2020.
Oversized-padded Blazers: In 2019, oversized padded blazers were like the uniform to tell the world that you’re fashionable, well, now we know, please let it rest with 2019 so we can see you in a relaxed suit that will suit your fresh and casual outfit in 2020.
Waist Bag: Now, the waist bag overstayed its welcome in 2019 and stretched to outfits it shouldn’t be with. As useful as it is, for occasions like concerts, to secure phones and wallets, please let’s work with other fashionable alternative and kiss this goodbye.
Logo Mania: In 2019, Logomania experienced a massive rise as big houses like Chanel, Fendi, Burberry and Louis Vuitton showed their obsession for logos and provided us with attractive items of clothing and accessories, with various prints of their logos.
Do let our obsession with wearing these end in 2019. While we want to show we wear big brands, let’s not get overtly branded in the process. It’s 2020!
Bike Shorts: 2019 was a year of many possibilities in the world of fashion, and one of the options we saw were fashionistas rocking bike shorts with over-padded Blazers. As fashionable as this trend seemed at first, it lost its appeal just, as fast. Now, we said over-padded Blazers has gone with 2019; Bike shorts are also on the journey of extinction, perhaps to show up again in 20 whatever.
Durag: This style is one trend that came with the rise of alternative music, and while it is still very much in fashion, I am glad to inform that, that trend dies with 2019 because not every head should be “duraged” again. So please, No Durag in 2020!
