One major trend this fall is the 70’s style, with flared legs, A-line button-down skirts and wedges, making the cut. The others include the following:
- Patchwork: Patchwork featured heavily on the runways of Chloe, Etro and Valentino. Patchwork tends to add an old-world, earthy feel and of-course, burst of colour to a garment.
- Fringe: This made a big appearance at shows like Ralph Lauren and Mara Hoffman. This detail tends to add a little Vavavoom to an erstwhile dull attire.
- Culottes: A term popularly used to describe the divided skirt, the culotte made a huge comeback this fall with skinny jeans and pants, taking a backseat. The wide-legged, mid-calf pant, featured on the runways of designers such as Alutzarra and Rebecca Minkoff.
- Mini- buttoned skirts and Thigh-high boots: Channelling the seventies vibe, this look made a huge come back this season, with celebrities like Kim Kardashian rocking the open-toe, wedge version of the thigh-high boots.
