Popular Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba, has kind words for a soon-to-be-released movie titled ‘The Island’.
Speaking on the flick, produced by Achievas Entertainment Limited, the artiste who had attempted acting in the past, described it as a new era for Nollywood, going by the trailer of the movie which he helped to promote on social media.
“The new Nollywood is here!!! Blockbuster Movie ‘The Island’ coming soon!!! This movie will make you see the importance of our individual sacrifices in making exactly our communities the dream community we all yearn for. African communities can only be built by us through our individual contributions,” the ‘African Queen’ crooner posted.
On the casting, he wrote; “Casting for this movie was majorly based on the character and free of nepotism or recycling like we are all familiar. We had an online audition that gained response from #NigerianYouths that saw 10 of them featured in the film. It’s a movie that will be talked about now and in ages to come.”
Cast of the movie, which was directed by Toka Mcbaror include Tokunbor Idowu, Femi Adebayo, Sambasa Nzeribe, Sunkami Bahlofin, Segun Arinze and many others.
