The once beautiful union between legendry singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba and his wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, is headed for destruction as the former has filed for divorce.

The father of seven shocked many on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, after he disclosed that he had filed for divorce from Annie. While many speculated what could have led to the end of their thirteen-year marriage, bloggers were swift to unravel the mystery lady who allegedly caused the union to crash. According to reports, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, is 2Baba’s new girlfriend.

In a clip making rounds on social media, 2Baba was captured with his eldest sons, Nino and Zion, from his first baby mama, Sunmbo Adeoye, and his new girlfriend, Natasha Osawaru. The lovebirds were on a boat cruise with the boys as they spent quality time together.

Following reports of her alleged relationship with 2Baba, the politician disabled her comment section, archived her posts, and appears to have deactivated her Instagram page. Observant Netizens who visited her profile noticed that the singer had been liking her posts since 2022.

A day before the divorce announcement, 2Baba, while performing at the 65th Anniversary and Mega Reunion of Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Students Association (CAGSOSA), remarked that his wife, Annie, was at home while he was still searching.

In another part of the clip, the singer jokingly stated that he doesn’t impregnate women carelessly anymore, adding that he has put an end to such. His remark sparked laughter from the audience.

Annie on her path shared clips from her Detty December with 2Baba, gushing over their union. The mother of two fired back at critics, whom she called “devils and witches,” telling them to give up, as she and her husband have shared 25 years of friendship and 13 years of marriage.

While 2Baba has been receiving backlashes over his divorce announcement, reports have it that Annie, who is allegedly a drug addict, has been checked into a rehabilitation centre by songstress Tiwa Savage and media personality Toke Makinwa.
