Nollywood actress, Chioma Akpotha has once again experienced the same fate today, 18th March 2023 as the Independent National Electoral Commission conducts gubernatorial elections across thirty-two states across the country.
According to reports made available by the actress, she was attacked by thugs at her polling unit.
Describing how the incident took place, she said the attack started when she took out her phone to record activities at the unit.
Chioma further said the thugs came to her with knives and bottles and she fled the scene, leaving her car, which has been left damaged.
“Today is just the worse I couldn’t even being out my phone to record or to say I am at my polling unit. As I brought out my phone, this guy’s attacked me with knives and bottles, I had to run out. They destroyed my side mirrors, hit my car. I don’t even know the damage done to my car cause I ran out for my life”.
Glamsquad recalls that on 25th February during the 2023 presidential election, Chioma Akpotha took to her Instagram page to cry out in pain and fear as political thugs attacked her polling unit.
The actress, who was on Instagram live captured the moment political thugs disrupted her polling unit and scattered ballot boxes; she also noted that she was mishandled by her fellow women.
Voters present at the polling unit were seen running helter-skelter for safety, while others were seen challenging the thugs. Read here
