Hehe. Old friends will be like ‘I used to know Tyka Nelson o’. Prince’s only sister Tyka Nelson is set to become an overnight millionaire as her rich musician brother Prince died without a will. According to Minnesota law, the estate of anyone who dies without a will goes to his closest relative.

According to Minnesota laws, the estate of anyone who dies without a will goes to his closest relative. Although Prince has five half-siblings, Tyka Nelson is his only full-blooded relative alive since his parents are dead and he had no wife or children upon his death.

The $300 million estate of the Jehovah’s Witness member  includes his massive music catalog, which will likely go to his closest living relative, his sister Tyka Nelson.

While there are speculations that Prince’s half-siblings might get a share of the juicy estate, it is not clear if Minnesota law recognizes half siblings as “close” relatives.
Prince was married twice but divorced both times. According to TMZ, his will has not been found, and family sources indicate that it’s unlikely to be found, since he had shown no interest in ever writing one.

“Our sources say various professionals raised the issue of a will with Prince but he never had an interest in drafting one.” TMZ said.

“We’ve contacted various people, including family members, and they all say they have not seen a will and so far no one has come forward with one.”

The 57-year-old singer whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson died under mysterious circumstances last week Thursday at his mansion in Paisley Park, Minneapolis, and was cremated during a private ceremony last weekend.
