The Indian themed Maharaja Ball will be a night of opulence highlighting the Indian royalties of times past and present,  marriage of characteristic Maharaja fortune with accents of traditional Nigerian culture. Blending the Indian culture together with the Nigerian, we will have a night filled with Saris, Turbans, Jewels, dazzling Afro-Indian luxury and more.

THE BALL FOR A CAUSE: The Charity

The DSFN is a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit association of children with Down Syndrome, as well as their parents, guardians, care givers and other interested stakeholders. Most of these children are neglected, relegated, or abandoned by their parents and society on the basis of culture and myths that tend to stigmatize them and their family. They are equally abused physically and sexually with impunity. In extreme cases even their rights to life itself is denied them.

The Foundation initiated her health intervention initiative (Save-a-Life Project) that have benefitted over 40 babies with Down Syndrome who have congenital heart defects to receive corrective surgery abroad; our educational intervention and vocational training efforts to make them self-dependent as well as our advocacy for these special persons over the years which earned us a representation during the official declaration of March 21 as the World Down Syndrome Day which held at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York in 2013.

The DSFN organization is proud to work with Poosh and the KSL Foundation to bring to life the Maharaja Ball in aid of the organization.
