Seun Kuti has said that Africans need to preach Africanism, he made this known on Sunday at Kalakuta Museum, Ikeja, Lagos during a colloquium organised by Pan-African Consciousness Renaissance, as part of activities to mark this year’s edition of Felabration.
He said, just the way religious evangelists preached their gospel, so also Pan Africanists must preach Africanism.
“Each one, tell one, in the late eighties, the early nineties, (there were) evangelists everywhere. So, we have to be Africa’s evangelists. We need to go on the streets. Me, I think I’m the biggest evangelists because I have the music for pan Africanism. I use my music everywhere I go. Everything I say is dedicated to preaching African unity.” He said.
