Personal Style Trend: Ezinne Chinkata

We may be only 11 days into the month of October but Ezinne Chinkata appears to be neck deep in a pink and black colour frenzy. The Creative Director cum Stylist cum retailer, appears to not be be able to get away from pink or black this month. It’s hard to say if it’s happening on a conscious or subconscious level but facts are facts.

Ezinne started the month in a black, grey and off white, stripped Co-ord set and went straight into a pink induced style frenzy from casual looks with pink sunglasses, to frilly pink frocks, pink shorts and even pink slippers! It may very well be the Creatives ode to Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) or just an interesting conincidence.

Just when we were starting to feel all pretty in pink, Ezinne pretty much travelled at the speed of light to the opposite end of the colour spectrum. She eased into it with some chequered black and white look, still with some pale pink acessories by way of a cute fascinator and a clutch. Then hit us with some of that straight full on black drama in a full length maxi dress and a preview of a black LBD look apparently from a post she has in the works.

If you’re still not convinced, here’s a little something that might change your mind. It appears  Ezinne isn’t leaving the pink and black feels to her own outfits, she might very well be carrying it around like a little style aura affecting her environment and people around her. The Creative is spotted with her mum in a shot off her instagram page, where mummy dearest is dressed in a decidely pink outfit. Then we see a lunchtime hangout with Dakore Akande and what colour is Dakore spotting? Pink! Then there’s the interesting shot from her store where we spot enough black and pink to back up our argument. We’re just saying it is what it is
