Nigeria’s foremost fashion designer Ouch clothings boss Uche Nnaji took to instagram to recall how he was duped of his hard earned $2,500 by a lady back in HongKong.
In his own words, he wrote:
“FaceBook just reminded me of how I was duped of $2,500 by a certain FARIDA lady resident in Hongkong who offered to be my agent in HONGKONG where I had just started traveling to go source for UNIQUE accessories and also make POLOs.

This reminds me of the gist of the young lady who rented a shop space in a building where our biz already had a 4yrs presence , And months after opening they decided to shutdown.I felt sorry for them,but who do I talk to or encourage when throughout their stay at that spot I never set my eyes on the store owner?How would she have known it was our MAINLAND OUCHlets that sustained Lekki store in its 1st TWO YRs ? Days later a friend & another customer had stop by to say they heard OUCH is closing down because SALES in LEKKI is BAD. I laughed and told them that I was just hearing this for the first time. Long story short, the owner of this store had gone to town to sing that she was shutting down because even the likes of OUCH was struggling to pay rent in Lekki

SAD , how everyone who finally get a visa and flys BIZ to visit DIERA , Liverpool market or WESTFIELD and pays 3m for a 25s/m store space in Lekki 1 would not allow us Drink Water and Keep Cup . Whereas the real ladies cleaning out are fly Economy with ET to GZ ,own 3+ shops in BALOGUN, turning-over 20m in a MONTH so they can buy another Plazas / Malls in Lekki which the social media entrepreneurs pay rent to🤔.

Anyway let me say it that the PROBLEM is not really with the “ADVICE-TAKERs “ who according to Ms Vimbai the mighty TABLE-SHAKER of our time “ Ought to even PAY and ATTEND seminars or TALKs by real entrepreneurs “ But more with the “ADVICE-TAKERs a.k.a The NIGERIAN YOUTHs and what they are attracted to. .
For some when asked to INVEST as little as 50k and come learn from the painful “Learning-Curve” of someone who has gone ahead they see it as unnecessary,but would dish out 3m to pay RENT for a store they won’t hesitate to close after the 1st rent expires.
