Nollywood BEFFTA Award winning actor Kevwe Ogunje was a celebrity guest on Box Office Tuesday show on Cool FM with on air personality Mannie yesterday talking about his acting career, moving back to Nigeria and his new drama series Twisted which would start showing on Africa Magic in the next quarter.
Kevwe Ogunje is a British trained Nigerian Delta born Actor, Model Producer, TV Host and Master Of Ceremonies. Born on 18th of August, He is a graduate of the prestigious Benson Idahosa University with a degree in information systems and communication, a certified NIIT Microsoft systems engineer.
In a quest for higher education, he left the shores of Nigeria to the United Kingdom where he earned a masters degree in Management and Information technology at Salford University Manchester. Upon graduation, he decided to chase an acting career joining Nollywood London where he got involved in successful movie projects working with top UK film directors like Nelson Spykk, Toyin Moore, Ruke Amata, Sukanmi Oduwole, Roseline Sanni Ajose, Ikenna Nwabue including producing his own sitcom which earned him a BEFFTA award. He has been referred to as UK Nollywood’s most promising actor, host and entertainer.
Some of his series have been featured on ITV London and top London cable networks. Upon his return to Nigeria in 2017, he has starred in a couple of movies with veteran actors like Desmond Eliot, Victor Olaitan, Mercy Johnson, Chioma Chukwuka Apotha, Deyemi Okanlawon.
His British Nigerian Warri boy accent stands him out as an actor and a host for that co-operate elite event. Kevwe Ogunje ranks as the only MC with an MSC as his notable co-operate events as host and master of ceremonies includes Delta State Governor Daughter’s wedding, State Governor’s Son’s wedding, AMAA 2016 award co-presentation, The Search and more both in London and Nigeria.
Away from acting or hosting events, he has a day job as a talk show host at Rave TV where he shares his insights into the daily issues facing an average Nigerian.
