With the prevalent menace of land grabbers, otherwise called Omo-Oniles in Lagos and environs, veteran actor, Prince Jide Kosoko is leading the campaign for unswerving property acquisitions, joining forces with a fast-rising company, Meritabode Nigeria Ltd to which he is a brand ambassador.

Kosoko, while speaking to journalists at the company’s Awuse Estate headquarters on Wednesday, emphasised integrity and professionalism as the hallmark of Meritabode in delivering land and housing needs to patrons in the last five years.

“I am Jide Kosoko, the brand ambassador of Meritabode Nigeria Limited and today I feel so honored to be part of this great team as we celebrate our five years of integrity, five years of professional services, five years of customer satisfaction, five years of partnership with the government of the land in providing housing solution to the deficit suffered in many states within Nigeria, especially Lagos State,” said the Lagos prince.

He harped on the purple colour and logo of the company which he said signifies ‘a housing solution with peace of mind’.

Recounting the five-year journey of the company, Managing Director of Meritabode, Mr. Oludotun Oseni disclosed that what started as a dream in September 2011 as earned his team several awards of excellence in recognition of their impact in the real estate industry.

The awards include Real Estate Leadership Excellence Prize 2016 organized by African Corporate leadership excellence prize committee; Global Most Trusted Quality Real Estate Company of the Year 2016 organized by Global Quality Excellence Award committee; Award for Remarkable Performance in the Real Estate sector, organized by City People Magazine; Award as the most reliable property company of the year organised by Ikeja City Award and Award of Leadership Excellence organized by NANS among others.

“These aforementioned awards are a clear evidence of our impact in the real estate sector of Nigeria’s economy,” said Oseni who added that the company has over 17 projects ongoing, with four estates fully sold out.

“The 17 ongoing projects are generally called our Emerald Garden Series and it cuts across the following locations: Simawa, Ibeju Lekki, Ikorodu, Agbara, Arepo, Magodo, Maba-Aseese.”

Although his background is in Economics, Oseni said his passion for housing business was borne out of the pains he saw people suffer. “I see how people have fallen victims in their desire to have shelter. Meritabode began as the answer to these simple questions, how do we solve the problems of housing in Nigeria with integrity and how do we raise a work force so as to reduce the unemployment rate in our nation? That is why our watchword is integrity,” he said.

According to Oseni, the next five years can only be better, as the company kicks off the second-half of the decade by offering a plot of land free, for every five plots purchased.
