Being a fashionista with distinct taste is no small feat. It’s one thing to set a standard and another thing to stick to it. This is why I have these special ladies on my list and on my style radar. Given the opportunity, I will jack their wardrobes without flinching and live stylishly ever after.
Lisa Folawiyo: We all know her as the Creative Director of the brand ‘Jewel by Lisa’; but few of you know her as a style star. Her instagram page will just about make you go crazy for her wardrobe. Her love for shoes cannot be missed. And not just her love for shoes, but her eclectic choices which make her stand out from the pack. In another life, she could be a great fashion blogger or maybe in this life, if she isn’t too busy.
Nkiru Anumudu: This woman is synonymous to the phrase ‘High Fashion’! Her total ensemble at any and every event she turns out for is nothing short of amazing. It’s no news she wear off the runway high end international brands and sometimes shoes from designer collections that have to be released or just been released. Without a doubt, her wardrobe is one many will kill for.
Jennifer Obayuwana: Mostly known as the ‘Boss lady’ for Polo Avenue, and to me as the Queen of floss. More is always more as seen in her larger than life clothes, hair, and jewellery. In her words, ‘Luxury is a way of life’. Her style is quirky and classy in the same breath. If she would let me, I would snag her sunglasses in a heartbeat. She does have quite the collection.
Ifeoma Williams: Her name is synonymous to image consulting in Nigeria and most importantly she does represent her brand well, when it comes to her style. She is easily described as a classicist with her love for clean silhouettes and minimalism. Her style is easily effortless and you’ll probably notice her love for whites, pastels and nudes. If she’ll have a yard sale someday, I’ll be there to snag a few items.
Ene Maya Lawani: Ex beauty queen and accessory designer, Ene Maya is synonymous with the word fabulous. Her style is usually very well put together and oozes sophistication. She balances high street and high end fashion effortlessly and I’m in awe of her hat collection. Did I mention she’s also a Milliner? And a trend setter as well?
